Las Vegas
I’ve been to the Sin City 3 times but each time I went, it still felt like it was my first time. For one, there are so many things to do, see and enjoy in and outside of Las Vegas. Situated on the Mojave Desert, Vegas is known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World” boasting massive 24-hour casino hotels, world-class restaurant, fancy shopping centers, world-renowned celebrity performances, live shows, crazy stunts, interesting street characters, over-the-top parties, amazing spots, attractions, and so so much more. If kids have Disneyland and Disney World to enjoy, heck, I have Vegas!

Just like nobody goes to Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower, to New York without visiting the State of Liberty, to San Francisco without seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, no one goes to Vegas without snapping a photo with this iconic sign that reads “Welcome to Fabulous Downtown Las Vegas Nevada”. Located on the south of Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino along the Vegas Strip, this famous signage is free for everyone to see 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Want to see some of the most iconic landmarks in the world without leaving the US? Come to Vegas!

Seeing the beautiful replica of Eiffel Tower in Paris Hotel in Vegas inspired me to visit the real one in France one day. And I finally fulfilled that dream 3 years later.
Gondola Ride at Venetian Hotel
Known as the ‘Kissing Bridge’, legend has it that “lovers who kiss on gondola ride at sunset under the Bridge on Sighs would have a lifetime love and bliss.”
For a price of $21 per person and $84 private gondola (for two person), enjoy a romantic Italian song from your gondolier as you glide down the Grand Canal.
How romantic is that?
Enjoy the beauty of the Statue of Liberty right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip at New York New York Hotel. For thrill-seekers, enjoy an exhilarating experience at the Big Apple Coaster and Arcade for $14/person with a $25 all-day scream pass. And for future brides and grooms, how about skipping the traditional quick-hitch wedding chapels in Vegas and do your wedding ceremony at 67mph at this heart-stopping venue? That would be soooo cool!

More beautiful when seen at night, don’t skip your Vegas escapade without crossing one of America’s oldest suspension bridges….located along the Vegas Strip.
Want to see the Pyramid of Egypt without needing a passport? Then come and visit the Egyptian-themed Luxor resort and casino hotel in Vegas. I love all the Egyptian elements adorned in this hotel. And yes, the Great Sphinx of Giza, errr, Las Vegas is a beauty to behold.
The beautiful spiral staircase and spiral escalator at Caesar’s Palace
Do you want to have a sense of the what it felt like during the Roman period? Then come and visit one of the most prestigious casino hotels in the world – The Caesar’s Palace. I was very amazed with the iconic Roman statues, monuments, Roman pools, fountains and the Roman-themed architecture of the hotel.
What makes Caesar’s Palace apart from the rest? For me, I think they’ve got the best buffet selection in town. I must say that the food at Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace is to die for. And I’ve never seen such a huge selection of different cuisines from all over the world. Definitely a must!
Other Interesting and Crazy Stuffs to enjoy in Vegas

Take a random naughty picture with a look that says “don’t worry coz whatever happens in Vegas, remains in Vegas”. LOL.
Amazing Vegas Shows

Tickets starting at $69, suspend yourself in disbelief with the world-class performances by Cirque Du Soleil.

I was initially skeptical about this show as I’ve already been to Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament in Dallas but I still enjoyed it like it was my first time. Available at Excalibur Hotel with tickets starting at $65, this ultimate dinner show experience is really fun. And the knights and kings though….. man, they were “eye candies”. LOL.

To all the girls out there ages 18+, don’t skip watching the hottest show in town – Thunder from Down Under. For $50.95 plus tax and service fee, you will be pleasured with fun and sexy performances from these gorgeous Aussie mates. I’ve never seen a granny go crazy over hot men before. It was so hysterical to watch. And take note, granny was partying with her daughter, granddaughter and grandson. LOL.
Afraid of commitment and yet want to experience how it feels to be married for a day like Britney Spears? Then come to Vegas and get hitched in a hurry in one of the unconventional yet fun famous Las Vegas wedding chapels.
What else to Enjoy in Nevada: Visit the beautiful city of Boulder
Located approximately 26 miles from the shining city of Las Vegas, Boulder City is home to two of America’s largest reservoirs, the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. With its picturesque view, taking a scenic drive to Boulder is already a treat itself. Contrary to the bright glittering lights, loud noise and amazing man-made architectures that draw millions of tourists each year, Boulder charms visitors with its natural beauty and tranquility. It’s definitely the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Sin City. What to see and what to do in Boulder?
Visit the Hoover Dam
Once considered as the largest dam in the world upon its completion in 1935, this historical landmark is also designated as one of America’s Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders in 1994. In addition to Hoover Dam’s value and significance, it’s also pretty cool to see such a massive modern work of art. With tickets starting at $11 for adults (ages 17-61); $ 9 for seniors (62+) and $9 for Juniors (ages 4-16), learn the history and appreciate the modern beauty of the Hoover Dam
Take a cruise on Lake Mead
With tickets starting at $26 for adults and $13 for children ages 2-11, enjoy a 90-minute cruise along the Lake Mead. Interestingly, while Hoover Dam attracts about 7 million visitors a years, Lake Mead pulls in about 10 million tourists for visit and recreation activities.
Despite of its spiky and uneven mountains, fact still remains – Lake Mead is a beauty to behold.
Take a Helicopter Ride Overlooking Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam
With a starting price of $39, you can enjoy a helicopter ride overlooking Lake Mead. Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon view ride packages are also available (click here for prices). Since it was my first time, it was a one scary ride. But I have to admit though, it was also one of my most noteworthy travel adventures. Helicopter view ride is definitely a must when visiting Boulder City.

Overall, I did enjoy my Las Vegas and Boulder City tours and I definitely recommend visiting these two neighboring cities when visiting the State of Nevada. Till here – blog about my Dubai trip is up next.
